Cleanroom crane at the center of the trade fair presentation

08.04.2024 von Frau Susanne Frank - free journalist

Our cleanroom crane with semi-automatic operation and pendulum damping, which won an award last year, is in the spotlight. "Our debut a year ago at LOUNGES2023 couldn't have been better," says Robert Altmann, who accepted the REINER! prize for third place together with his brother Achim in 2023. The prize is awarded every two years by Fraunhofer IPA. As an added bonus, there was an invitation to visit the Fraunhofer Institute in Stuttgart. Robert Altmann: "We visited the institute in November and were able to talk to the experts at Fraunhofer IPA. It was a really good opportunity to get feedback from the scientific side on our cleanroom crane."

The trade fair organizers are once again expecting around 7,000 visitors to LOUNGES2024 in April. With more than 230 exhibitors, the trade fair in Karlsruhe is one of the largest and most important cleanroom trade fairs in the German-speaking world.

In April, the cleanroom crane designed and manufactured in Albaching - or rather the model of a belt hoist for the cleanroom crane - will be the focus of Altmann's trade fair presence.

From the exhibition hall to the grandstand: a plea for semi-automation

LOUNGES2024 is being touted by the trade fair organizers as a platform for intensive discussions and knowledge transfer. As part of the supporting program, Managing Director Achim Altmann will give a specialist lecture entitled "Innovation through recombination" and explain the extent to which engineers have combined the "tried and tested" with the new. He will also dispel the prejudice that a semi-automatic crane is "nothing half and nothing whole". The opposite is the case. Programming a semi-automatic crane is much more complex than programming a fully automatic crane. A semi-automatic crane supports the operator with routine tasks while still offering maximum flexibility. Altmann: "A semi-automatic crane is in constant dialog with the operator. The control system only enables the next correct process step to be approached, such as moving to a target position according to a predefined route. The crane only moves to the next station once the operator has given the go-ahead. This makes processes in the cleanroom safer."

At the exhibition stand, visitors can take a closer look at the model of the belt hoist and look under the enclosure of the crane control system and have the function of the electronic sway damping explained to them, for example.

Sales representative Sebastian Lampl and the two managing directors are looking forward to your visit to stand F3.2 and to answering questions about the portfolio.

Meanwhile, the marketing team will continue to work at full steam on the stand to attract visitors to the stand and a small gift to take away.

"We are looking forward to presenting our innovations, which we are constantly developing for our customers, to a broad specialist audience," says Achim Altmann. His brother adds: "The trade fair also offers the opportunity to find out about other innovations in the cleanroom industry and to exchange ideas with experts. We are very much looking forward to being there in April.
